50 year old lady from Indore presented with blood vomiting .On endoscopic examination she was found to have Large esophageal varices.She underwent endoscopic variceal ligation at GBL hospital ,Indore.On further evaluation she was found to have chronic liver disease due to Hepatitis C. She also had ascites.she was started on new directly acting antivirals .She showed remarkable improvement in her condition.Heatitis C treatment has become easy due to development of new directly acting antivirals.GBL hospital Indore has hepatology division with latest technology such as fibroscan for assessment of liver damage caused by Hepatitis B and GBL hospital is a first superspeciality centre dedicated to gastroenterology and hepatology in central India
