Cirrhosis underlies Liver Cancer in more than 80% of affected individuals . Thus, any agent leading to chronic liver damage and ultimately cirrhosis should be considered as a risk factor for Liver Cancer. Obviously, the major causes of Cirrhosis, and hence Liver Cancer, are Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis C Virus, and alcohol, but less prevalent conditions such as hemochromatosis, primary biliary cirrhosis, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and Wilson disease have also been associated with Liver Cancer development. We at central India/ Indore regularly treat Liver Cancer by Surgery such as Hepatectomy or Liver Transplant.
